SUMMARY:BrechtFest VI Silent Art Auction
DESCRIPTION:Each year I make a work of art for  for the poster image  New Orleans  BrechtFest event\, an evening devoted to the poems and songs of playwright Bertolt Brecht. At the event itself\, the original art is silent auctioned to benefit Innocence Project New Orleans. This year is particularly special\, as other artists will be joining me in the silent auction. 100% of proceeds from the original art auction will go to IPNO. Read more and buy tickets at brechtfest.com. \nI often refer to art from the Weimar Republic to parody and draw parallels from. This year\, I made my own version of the 1926 George Grosz painting “Eclipse of the Sun”. I am title mine “Eclipse of the Scum”. My oil painting is 24×24″. \n  \n
